YPAD Certified Studio

Iowa Ballet Academy is the first studio in the state of Iowa to achieve certification with Youth Protection Association For Dance.

The mission of YPAD™ is to bring awareness to and provide guidance for one essential priority: the safety and health of dance students. We believe dancer well-being is the cornerstone of the industry, and we exist to serve those who have influence on its classrooms.

Dance and We only hire qualified professionals. All of our instructors have a college education in dance and/or a certification from Dance Masters of America. While we believe in supporting our older students’ goals in dance education, we will never use them as primary instructors in a class.
