Biography
Monica George graduated from the University of Iowa in December of 2012 with her BA in Dance. She graduated with her BA in Elementary Education in May of 2013 from the University of Iowa. Monica has performed several pieces choreographed by faculty at The University of Iowa. She has performed in the Gala and the Graduate/Undergraduate Dance Shows. She has also created her own choreographic projects. At The University of Iowa she took classes in technique, choreography, human anatomy, and production design.
Monica studied dance under the direction of Ami Yaro, Nancy Moore Overturf, and Beth Adams. Over the years Monica has had the opportunity to study with the American Ballet Theatre, Kansas City Ballet, Virginia School of the Arts, and River North Dance Company.
Monica looks forward to bringing her dance training, teaching skills, and love and passion for dance to the Iowa Ballet Academy dancers.
Monica is a proud member of Dance Masters of Mid-America Chapter 34.
